Edinson Cavani has decided to reject a short-term contract extensions, an offer that would allow him to play cup finals and the Champions League final tournament with PSG.
According to French radio RMC, the Uruguay striker and the Belgian defender Thomas Meunier contracts expire on June 30.
“Unless they had agreed to sign a two-month extension, both Cavani and Meunier will leave the club before French Cup and League Cup finals as well as the Champions League final eight in Lisbon.”
Last week, PSG sports director Leonardo said that Cavani would not be offered a deal for the next season, but was hoping to extend his contract for two months at least.
The Ligue 1 season ended on April 30 and PSG was named as the champions.
