Thiago Silva is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer after eight years with the French champion.
The 35-year-old Brazil international will not be offered a new contract after Ligue 1 season was completely canceled due to the fear of COVID-19.
Silva won Ligue 1 seven times, four French Cups and five French League Cups with PSG.
However, the captain’s departure was more of a financial reasons rather than a surplus to requirements.
They are looking to reduce the expenditure after losing over €200 million due to the cancelation.
Silva could return to Brazil and join his former club Fluminense as he was seen holding a Fluminense member’s card and team shirt with his name printed on the back.
