[VIDEO] Belgian League the first league to be cancelled this season

The Belgian league set to become the first major European league to be cancelled this season because of coronavirus.

This can be made since the league only have one match remaining to play.

Report said the league’s board of directors made the decision and have made a recommendation to the general assembly.

“The board of directors unanimously decided that it was not desirable, whatever the scenario envisaged, to continue the competition after 30 June.”

It will be official on 15 April as they are finding solution on relegation and promotion.

That means Club Brugge will be declared champions this season, and they are 15 points clear of second-placed Gent at the top of the table.

Belgium are among the 10 countries that recorded more than 1,000 deaths because of coronavirus.
