The official arrival of CIMB to Malaysian football would benefit the local fans in a long-term.
CIMB itself is no stranger to sports, especially in football as they actively developed aspiring footballers at grassroots level through its corporate responsibility arm, CIMB Foundation for more than a decade, helping numerous talent to rise to the professional level.
These include Mohd Hadin Azman (Kedah); R. Kogileswaran (U22 Malaysia & PJ City FC); Muhammad Alif Safwan (Kuala Lumpur) and R. Dinesh (U22 Malaysia & Pahang).
But CIMB Group CEO, Tengku Zafrul Tengku Aziz said its time to extend the support to the highest level, which will benefit Malaysian football in the long run.
As the official bank for Liga Super, Liga Premier, Piala FA, Piala Sumbangsih and Piala Malaysia, CIMB customers and credit card holders are eligible for special discounts on tickets and other privileges that will be announced soon.
There are also various fan-engagement initiatives like clinics and meet-and-greet events with star players.
This would be a huge boost for fans who will be able to support their club in a better way and at the same time receiving benefits from CIMB.
Can’t wait for the new season!
