South Korea’s goalkeeper Cho Hyun-woo’s popularity continues to soar.
Cho is one of the biggest World Cup stars so far; his performance has been consistently outstanding in all three matches in the group stage, but the match against the defending champions Germany was what brought him the good name in the football world.
Such attention seems to drive people’s interest in his K League club Daegu FC. Indeed, his signed Daegu uniforms sold on the club’s official website were bought up within two hours.
Daegu also announced that tickets in the DG zone in their home game against FC Seoul have been sold out. DG zone is behind the goal post, where fans can observe his play closely.
