2018 V-League’s top scorer Ganiyu Oseni hit with two-match ban for violent conduct

2018 V-League’s top scorer Ganiyu Oseni has been slapped with a 2-match ban for violent conduct during a league between Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) and Hanoi FC on May 30.

Following the latest Disciplinary Committee of Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announcement on Friday, Oseni was given a two-match ban for the purpose foul into Nguyen Manh Hung of SLNA in the 20th minute.

Oseni was booked with a yellow card by referee Truong Hong Vu after the foul. However, VFF decided to issue more heavy measures for the Nigerian striker after analyzing the match footage on the following day.

The absence of Oseni, who is the top scorer of the tournament with 12 goals in 10 matches, in the next two matches could affect the performance of the Hanoi FC. They have to face the strong rivals Sanna Khanh Hoa and defending champions Quang Nam in the next rounds.
