Not long ago, Luis Milla has announced 23 players for Indonesia National U-23 Team, but it seems that there will be one change in his squad that plays against Thailand U-23 that will be held on Thursday. Milla has to remove Yabes Roni from his squad because Bali United’s winger is still working hard to recover from his knee injury, which he got at the match against Mitra Kukar on May 11.
Milla then called Persebaya Surabaya’s winger, Irfan Jaya, to replace Yabes. It is confirmed by PSSI Media Officer, Bandung Saputra.
“For Indonesia U-23, Irfan Jaya will come to replace Yabes Roni because he is still in the recovery stage,” said Bandung on Monday.
Irfan is not the new face in Indonesia national team. He was called so many times before to join Indonesia’s training camps but was not ready to play in an exhibition match.
Irfan will join the training camp soon. The team will be facing Thailand U-23 two times and the first one will be held at Pakansari Stadium. Against them, Milla called 23 players, including six senior players. They are Riko Simanjuntak, Teja Paku Alam, Lerby Eliandry, Muhammad Ridho, Alberto Goncalves, and Victor Igbonefo.
