Luis Milla promises surprises for the next Indonesian squad

Indonesia U-22 are set to play two friendly matches against Cambodia at home and against Puerto Rico away in June.

After the 3-1 defeat against Myanmar in their previous friendly in March, coach Luis Milla is set to make a change to the team by calling up five senior players.

Milla and his backroom staffs have been keeping track of the players closely and only the best players with impressive performances for their clubs will be picked.

According to deputy secretary general of PSSI Fanny Riawan, Milla promises a surprise about the senior player he will call.

Stefano Lilipaly, who shone with Indonesia in the AFF Cup 2016, has emerged as one of the favorite candidates.

“Lilipaly’s problem depends on the coach because when I talk to Milla and mentioned Lilipaly the name, he said there is no need to worry because there will be surprises. He has the quality in the field and good attitude,” Fanny Riawan explained.

Fano himself is having a brilliant season with Cambuur in the Dutch Eerste Divisie. Unfortunately, the player failed to deliver Cambuur to the final play-off after losing 2-1 in the semi-final counter against MVV Maastricht.
