Kyle Walker has rocked the Man City boat after having reportedly agreed to join German champions Bayern Munich after it appeared likely that he would sign a new deal at Manchester City.
Bayern have been making a serious play for the England international for quite a while now although Walker appeared to dismiss the rumors last month when he expressed a desire to stay at Manchester City and entering into new contract talks with the club. All that has changed in the wink of an eye as he now appears to have changed his mind, with Sky Sport Germany reporting that the 33-year-old has “reached a verbal agreement with the club” and is ready to sign for Bayern.
Kyle Walker has been an integral cog in Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering Manchester City side since joining from Spurs in 2017, winning five league titles and the recent long-awaited Champions League trophy. Unfortunately, he now seems to be ready for a fresh challenge, with the supposed £15m move to Bayern being the perfect opportunity for him to secure a guaranteed starting XI place in a top-flight European club.
It all depends now on whether Bayern can agree a transfer fee with City.
