Willian has agreed on a three-year contract at Arsenal worth around £100,000-a-week and he is expected to join the London club this month, ESPN reports.
This comes after the 32-year-old failed to reach on agreement with Chelsea over a new contract for months, despite manager Frank Lampard wants him to remain at the club.
However, ESPN said Lampard failed to “persuade the Chelsea hierarchy” to offer a new contract for Willian.
After winning the FA Cup for the first time as manager, Mikel Arteta wants to overhaul the Arsenal squad and believes Willian could helped the Gunners back as a serious title contenders.
But it’s not just Arsenal that are interested with the Brazilian. His agent, Kia Joorabchian said at least five clubs interested, including two in the Premier League, another club believed to be Everton.
So far, Arsenal only have Nicolas Pepe as a natural winger, while the rests are youngsters.
