Achraf Hakimi left Real Madrid because of Zidane?

Achraf Hakimi’s surprise decision to join Inter for €40 million instead of returning to his parent club after two-year loan with Borussia Dortmund has angered many Real Madrid fans.

However, his agent Alejandro Camano has suggested that Hakimi decided to leave because of Zinedine Zidane inability to provide an assurance that the 21-year-old full-back will be in starting eleven next season.

This comes despite Hakimi’s impressive performance in Bundesliga.

“Zidane is the reason Achraf signed for Inter. Now he has to explain why Achraf left,” he said to Al Mountakhab.

“I think returning Real at the moment isn’t ideal, given the presence of Daniel Carvajal. “I’m sure Achraf’s future will be bright after making this step.”

Hakimi have been a Real Madrid player since 2006 but only made 17 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions after making a professional debut in 2016.
