Pep Guardiola is already planning his moves for the new season as Man City are set to bring Juventus striker Pablo Moreno to the Premier League, according to reports.
The Spain Under-18 international, Moreno, is said to be making a beeline for the Etihad with Portuguese winger Felix Correia going the other way in a swap deal.
On his arrival at Man City, Moreno will be on loan to Girona, who are part of the City Football Group.
Correia, 19, on the other hand has played for AZ Alkmaar’s reserve team, Jong AZ, this season and is reported to have arrived in Turin for a medical on Sunday.
Meanwhile the Athletic are claiming that City are interested in signing Bournemouth star, Nathan Ake, as the 25-year-old centre-back has been outstanding in a struggling Cherries side and currently are in the relegation zone on goal difference with eight games left to play.
As it were, City have yet to replace Vincent Kompany after the 34-year-old ended his 11-year association with the club last summer.
The situation has been compounded by John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi failing to fill the void left by Kompany, leaving City boss Pep Guardiola with no options but to play midfielder Fernandinho in defence at times this season.
Ake has just two years remaining on his Bournemouth contract and was monitored by City scouts before the winter break and despite a move not having been made in the January transfer window, City’s interest in him is apparently still there.
The Dutch international will most liekly leave Bournemouth if the club’s five-year stay in the Premier League comes to an end next month.
Ake’s former club Chelsea are also said to be rekindling their interest in him.
