Odion Ighalo reportedly set to leave Manchester United this week as his loan deal expired on May 30, forcing him to return to his parent club Shanghai Shenhua.
While United wanted Ighalo to stay until the season is resumed, Shanghai Shenhua wants him back for the new season or they can only agree if United offered a reasonable transfer fee and permanent contract.
Ighalo, who has been a lifelong United fan wants to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping to sign a new striker in the summer but he is not interested to sign Ighalo permanently.
Since Marcus Rashford has returned to full fitness after a long-term back injury which has kept him out for almost half a year, United would almost probably not thinking of signing Ighalo permanently.
