Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic is forced to go to the court and will be questioned by public prosecutor back in his home country Serbia after he was caught leaving the house despite subjected to self-isolate for 28 days after returning from Madrid, Spain due to the COVID-19.
Serbian police reported Jovic on March 19 for not following the rules.
Jovic defended his action, as he thought he was allowed to leave the house once a day to buy essentials.
He said he was only going out to a pharmacy nearby his house.
Meanwhile, the punishment for breaking self-isolation in Serbia varies between a 1,275 euro fine and a three year prison sentence.
Jovic’s teammate for Serbia national team, Aleksandar Prijovic has been handed a three month house arrest sentence after he was found leaving the house to go have drinks with friends.
