Marcelo makes history as he appeared for the 500th time for Real Madrid in a 4-0 victory over Real Zaragoza to send Los Blancos to the quarter-final of Copa del Ray.
The 31-year-old Brazilian is now just 27 games short of Roberto Carlos who currently hold the most appearances for a foreign player for Real.

Marcelo joined Real in January 2007 as a replacement for Roberto Carlos who joined Turkish side Fenerbahce six months later.
Throughout his career, he has won four Champions Leagues, four Club World Cups, three European Super Cups, four LaLiga Santander titles, two Copa del Rey trophies and two Supercopa de Espana titles.
He has so far played 14 games in all competition this season.
