Arsenal 3-0 defeat to Man City at Emirates has left fans wondering whether they will sink even further, or when Arsenal is going to appoint their next manager.
Speaking to Guardian, Ljungberg has only managed to win one of his five matches in all competitions so far and he was forced to work with academy manager Per Mertesacker.
“I’ve said to them they need to make a decision. We are here to help and the staff are trying to chip in but a decision has to be made so we can have the same resources as other clubs.
“Per is an academy manager and he is doing two jobs in one go. It needs to be cleared up, to make a decision, so everybody knows. That’s something I’ve said. But then it’s totally up to the club. I’m very honoured and I try to do things as good as I can but it would be good to make a decision, regardless of what it is.”
At the moment, Arsenal are conducting a thorough search for their manager but there has been no time frame set for the appointment.
Long-time assistant to Mauricio Pochettino, Jesus Pérez, was in the crowd at Emirates, though Pochettino has previously said that he would never manage Arsenal due to his Spurs connections.
Arsenal conceded as early as 2nd minute of the game through Kevin De Bruyne before added his second goal late in first half.
Raheem Sterling scored City second goal in just 15th minute of the game, as Arsenal had no chance to comes back from the game.
“They took yellow cards, they took us down when we had a chance to counter,” he said. “That’s obviously tactical and we need to learn to be a bit more cynical.”
Arsenal conceded the third goal when they had 10 men on the field.
