Lionel Messi wants Barcelona to move on from Champions League failure
Lionel Messi is probably the only man who needs to say Barcelona need to forget about their Champions League failure.
After all, he is the captain for the side who surprisingly lost to Roma two years ago and again, to Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final last season.
“To be honest, our failures from the previous Champions League campaigns are always there but we have to start from the scratch.
“It’s a new year, new competition.
“Obviously we have to learn from mistakes but also think of the present and the future.
“We must forget what happen last year and the year before, it would be a mistake to be thinking of that.”
Barcelona will face either Atalanta, Chelsea, Lyon, Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur in the last 16.
