The second round of Group H begins soon. The first one is between Mexico and South Korea
Mexico upset the world by defeating the defending champion Germany. On the other hand, South Korea disappointed fans with no attempt on target at all throughout their first match against Sweden.
Head coach Juan Carlos Osorio, however, remained cautious. “Korea is a good team. They have Swansea City’s Ki Sung-yueng and Tottenham Hotspurs’ forwards Son Heung-min, who can play in all four attacking positions” said Osorio during the pre-match interview. “Kim Shin-wook is also strong in the aerial.”
Mexico’s wing back Miguel Layun agreed with his coach. “Our goal is to maintain the level of performance that we showed against Germany. It won’t be easy,” said the 29-year-old defender.
“Korea play as one team, demonstrating a strong teamwork and solid defense. You will know they are very well-equipped tactically. Korea has a very strong power.”
