AFC U-19 Women’s Championship draw results gives an easy start to Palestine

The draw for the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship was done on last Wednesday at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

There are 27 teams were divided into 6 groups, 3 groups have 5 teams each and the other 3 groups has 4 teams each.
The first team in each group will qualify for the second round, along with the best teams to get second place.

Japan, North Korea and China have won the first three positions, therefore they are already qualified for the finals this year.

The first round of qualifiers was set as follows:

– Groups with five teams: 20 to 28 October 2018

– Groups with four teams: 24 to 28 October 2018

In the second round of qualifying, the teams will be divided into two groups. Each group will have four teams, and the first two teams from each group qualify directly to the finals.

The second round of qualifying matches will be held from 22 to 30 April 2019.

Group A: Australia, Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Mongolia.
Group B: Thailand (hosts), India, Pakistan, Nepal, Singapore.
Group C: Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan (host), UAE, Guam, Maldives.
Group D: South Korea, China Taipei, Tajikistan (host), Bangladesh
Group V, Vietnam, Jordan, Northern Mariana Islands, Malaysia.
Group F: Myanmar (host), Iran, Palestine, Laos.
