Korea Republic to square off Australia in 2018 AFC U-19 Championship group stage

The 2018 AFC U-19 Championship draw was held on Friday in Jakarta, Indonesia, where 16 teams were drawn into four groups of four.

Indonesia, who will host the tournament for the third time, have been drawn into Group A alongside the United Arab Emirates, 2014 champions Qatar and Chinese Taipei.

Defending champions Japan will face Thailand, DPR Korea and five-time champions Iraq in Group B.

Meanwhile, Korea Republic will begin their campaign with battles against Vietnam, Australia and Jordan in Group C.

2016 runners-up Saudi Arabia are grouped with Tajikistan, China PR and Malaysia in Group D.

2018 AFC U-19 Championship will take place in Indonesia between October 18 and November 4.

The top four teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland as the AFC representatives.
