The Saudi Football Federation (SAB), headed by Adel Ezzat agreed to the participation of four international Saudi players with their team Al-Ahli Saudi FC against Al-Sadd in their coming games in Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League, which will be held on May 6 and 13.
The players Mohammed Al Owais, Moataz Husawi, Hussein Makhoi and Muhannad Asiri are in the Saudi team camp in the Spanish city of Marbella in preparation for the World Cup.
The statement confirmed that this approval was made in coordination with the technical staff of the team, in order to support the Saudi representative in the continental championship, although the team is linked to two matches in his camp in Spain against Algeria and Greece, in preparation for participation in the World Cup Russia 2018.
Ahli Jeddah fans hope their team will change history when they visit Qatar’s Al Sadd on May 7, in the first round of the AFC Champions League.
Al Ahli is in the standings with his international stars, who were allowed to participate in the match, despite their involvement in the camp of the Saudi team in Marbella, Spain, in the fourth phase of the program of preparations for the World Cup Russia.
