Saudi Arabia striker Mohammad Al-Sahlawi to spend three weeks training with Manchester United

Saudi Arabia striker Mohammad Al-Sahlawi will spend three weeks training with Premier League giants Manchester United.

The 31-year-old, who has scored 26 times in 33 internationals, is looking to gain more experience in preparation for his nation’s World Cup campaign this summer.

Al-Sahlawi’s three-week stint at Old Trafford was announced by the Chairman of Saudi Arabia General Sports Authority (GSA) Turki Al-Sheikh.

“t was agreed with Manchester United for Mohammed Al-Sahlawi to join for a training programme for three weeks,’” Al-Sheikh said, as quoted by The Metro. “May God benefit him.”

This move is part of the agreement between Manchester United and the GSA, under which the English side will help Saudi Arabia develop its football industry.

Al-Sahlawi will reportedly not leave for England until the end of this year’s Saudi Professional League season, on April 12.
