Australian striker Nathan Burns will return to Wellington Phoenix after spending 6 months in Japanese club Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
Wellington Phoenix announced the new signing on Saturday on their official website. The A-League side revealed that Burns was inking on a two-year contract.
During the two years with Wellington Phoenix, Burns had netted an impressive 13 goals and earned a place in the Socceroos’ squad. The 29-year-old won A-League Player of the Year in 2015
Burns left the A-League side to join FC Tokyo, then joined J-League first division club Sanfrecce Hiroshima in July this year. In 32 league League games, he has scored just three goals.
