Hoang Anh Gia Lai chairman Doan Nguyen Duc has denied rumors about the transfers of star players Nguyen Cong Phuong and Luong Xuan Truong to Thai League.
As reported by Saostar, Duc stated that the products of HAGL’s youth academy would stay at the club to compete in V-League next season.
“No, the rumors are not true. There is no way I let them go (to Thailand). They will play for the club,” Duc said.
On Saturday, some media outlets in Thailand claimed that Thai League 1 champions Buriram United had expressed their desire to steal HAGL duo Cong Phuong and Xuan Truong.
It is reported that their impressive performances at M-15o Cup have caught their eyes of Buriram’s president Newin Chidchob.
