Buriram United target unnamed Vietnamese footballer

Thai League 1 champions Buriram United have set their eyes on a Vietnamese footballer, according to Thailand media outlet.

As reported by THSPORT, the Thunder Castle have reached an agreement with a player who is playing for a V.League side.

If the signing is completed, the player, whose surname is revealed as Nguyen, would play for the Thai League 1 outfit in the next season.

Beginning in 2018 season, the ASEAN player quota will be implemented in Thai Premier League and Thai Division 1 League from 2018 season.

The new regulation applies to players from 9 ASEAN members other than Thailand, which are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam.
