Malaysia join World League Forum

Malaysia becomes the first country in Southeast Asia to join the World League Forum (WLF) as the league’s 30th member, the New Straits Times reports.

The signing of a memorandum of understanding between WLF and Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP), who has been represented by chairman Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim (TMJ), took place on Thursday.

“It allows us to learn more and improve on local football development as well as achieving a standard of professionalism and integrity by learning from other nations who had advanced well in football management and development,” TMJ said.

Meanwhile, WLF secretary general Jerome Perlemuter stated that the league will help Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) in planning structural football organisation and a streamlined local football development for the next five to 10 years.
