Thailand earned a comfortable 3-1 win over Myanmar in the friendly at Mandalar Thiri Stadium on Thursday night.
However, Thailand head coach Milovan Rajevac, who seemed more concerned about the only goal they conceded in the friendly, noted that his side had to improve on defending.
“We are pleased with the result, but we still need to improve a few things, especially that we shouldn’t have conceded that goal,” Rajevac said in the post-match press conference, as quoted by the Bangkok Post.
“But some players were tired after playing so many matches in the domestic competitions in a short time.”
Thailand were playing without playmaker Chanathip Songkrasin, who had withdrawn from the team due to fever, while Manuel Tom Birh also pulled out as his wife was due to give birth.
Both Chanathip and Birh are expected to join the team for the next friendly with Kenya in Bangkok on Sunday.
