Speaking to The Athletic, journalist David Ornstein highlighted Neymar as a player to watch in the summer transfer window. “The remarkable situation currently being explored is a return to Barcelona,” Ornstein said. “This would be Neymar’s dream, and discussions are ongoing. Barcelona president Joan Laporta and Neymar’s agent Pini Zahavi share a close relationship, which could facilitate the move. Neymar’s short-term contract with Santos reportedly includes an option for early termination if he joins a club competing in the Club World Cup in June. Ornstein added, “Unless an extension is signed, Neymar will become a free agent on June 30. There’s also a mechanism allowing him to leave sooner for teams in the Club World Cup. His physical and technical condition will be key.”
