In the wake of the mad scramble brewing at the Parc des Princes after the Parisian capital club was tossed out of the Champions League by a resurgent Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur sporting director Fabio Paratici has reportedly emerged as a potential target for Paris Saint-Germain.
Paratici had moved from Juventus to to the North London club last summer where the Italian was instrumental in bringing Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski to Spurs in January.
And now, according to journalist Marco Conterio, Leonardo could find his position in jeopardy with the likelihood of Paratici taking over at the Parc des Princes as PSG’s top brass have begun to lose faith in their sporting director, especially after the humbling loss to the Los Blancos at the Santiago Bernabeu in the return leg of the Champions League last 16 fixtures.
Conterio insinuates that Leonardo is now being held accountable for PSG’s capitulation against the Los Madridistas with the French outfit unexpectedly conceding three goals in a dazed state during the final 30 minutes to bow out of a competition that they were expected to win.
It seems that PSG officials have already gotten in touch with the Italian, although it is still uncertain whether he will give any serious consideration to taking on another challenge after having settled in pretty comfortably at Tottenham.
Leonardo is now into his second stint at PSG, having been in his current role since 2019.
