Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos recently appeared on famous streamer and renowned content creator Ibai Llanos’ program ‘Chatting Quietly’ which he began a few weeks ago. The Spaniard spoke to Llanos about all things Real Madrid whilst also sharing his intimate sentiments regarding rivals Barcelona and the popular figures surrounding them.
Ramos was the sixth guest on the program that Barcelona defender Gerard Pique had also featured on a few weeks ago. The legendary Los Blancos skipper and defender has been making a lot of headlines recently as his future with the Galacticos is currently dangling with uncertainty in the air.
In his chat with Llanos, he stated that if he were to leave, he would want to do so with a “clear conscience” and then said that he couldn’t disclose any further details about his future with Real Madrid.
Surprisingly, the defender then proceeded to turn his attention to Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi and proceeded to speak highly of him.
“It would be an honor if Messi would sign for Real Madrid one day. We have suffered a lot from him, and we’d be happy to have him. I could even let him sleep in my house for the first couple of weeks while he settles down,” said Ramos.
Talking further about his spectacular encounters with Madrid’s fiercest rivals, Barcelona, in the past, he also heaped lavish praise on Pep Guardiola’s side from years ago, saying:
“Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona is the best side I have ever played against.”
Ramos also spoke touched on his relationship and rivalry with Gerard Pique, reminiscing fondly about the times the pair played together for the Spanish national team:
“Piqué and I didn’t need to speak to each other on the pitch. We understood each other so well.”
Ramos was also quick to point out his appreciation and respect for Joan Laporta, who recently won the elections at Barcelona and returned as club president. He finally also spoke about the prospect of playing for his eternal rivals.
“I have a massive respect for Laporta, he’s very charismatic. I met him once and really liked him. But no, obviously I would never play for Barcelona. Not even for 60M. There are some things that money can’t buy,” the Los Blancos captain replied.
