Apart from their poorly-disguised interest in Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, Paris Saint-Germain have apparently been targeting another person of key interest in the La Liga – they have made a financial offer to Los Blancos’ Sergio Ramos, one that Real Madrid are seemingly not in a position to compete with, as per a report in Onda Cero.
It is claimed that the Parisians have made an offer of €45m to the Madrid captain spread over a three-year contract – which is a solid deal covering both length of time and value of wage that his current club cannot, or more likely would not, offer even if they could.
The brunt of current Los Blancos news is focused on speculations regarding the future of their talismanic defender, soon out of contract in the Spanish capital in June and will hence be free to speak to other clubs at the moment.
The Spain international idolised by Los Blancos fans over the years for his hard-tackling, no-prisoners-taken defensive approach on the pitch celebrates his 35th birthday in March and, by the end of any renewed deal from whichever club, he would be aged 37 by then – a glaring fact that the club are wary of, as they obviously doubt he would be able to maintain his current high level of form up till then.
Well, PSG onviously choose to think otherwise.
