4 guarantees Manchester United must give Jadon Sancho ahead of transfer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Man Utd are dead keen to bring sensational Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford in the upcoming transfer window, despite Ed Woodward having said that it won’t be business as usual for Manchester United in the impending transfer window. Any which way and loose, they must still somehow find a feasible way to achieve their main aims.

The top priority for some time now in terms of transfer targets has been Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, with the right flank a clear area needing improvement, even despite Mason Greenwood’s emergence, which was reiterated after the 18-year-old scored another slick goal against West Ham on Wednesday night.

MEN Sport is cognizant of the fact that United remain confident of doing a deal for Sancho and that the player is himself very keen on the idea too. The transfer window officially opens for transactions on July 27th, just a couple of days away.

So what would United need to give Sancho in order to ensure that the move happens that would keep the lad happy and motivated once he arrives? Obviously, the 20-year-old should prove an immensely crucial signing for United, which is imperative for the club to get the framework right for the mercurial winger to fit into.

It’s kinda obvious that this one woulldend up working pretty neat for everybody as Sancho loves to play on the right-wing  although he’s equally comfortable with other positions, and United are in need of a natural in that position who is of elite quality, which the talented winger obviously has shown he posseses. Besides that, it’s also been proven that Sancho likes to roam around like a free spirit, a trait which should well suit Solskjaer’s attacking blueprint at United.

The feisty Norwegian dead set on currently building his attack around players whose movement and fluidity would form an integral part of their core strength, revolving around Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Greenwood.

Sancho, a true-blue out-and-out right-winger, is cut from that same cloth and should fit into this United forward line like a match made in football heaven.

Understandably there are some who insist that United do not truly need Sancho, arguing instead that Greenwood’s development and ability to play on the right-wing mean that the plans to sign the Dortmund starlet should be shelved. Yet it’s surely not up for debate that United are in dire need of a higher standard of attacking players, and the signing of Sancho is a vital key to raising those levels even if it means having to bench any one of the Sancho, Greenwood, Rashford and Martial in the matches.

That ought not to deter the former Manchester City youth product, however, who may get the odd rest but would still be a vital player for Solskjaer. As recent performances have shown, United badly need depth in attacking positions.

Sancho has already been grooved into, and gotten pretty much used to being rotated from time to time at Dortmund and it’s not affected the efficiency of his output in terms of goals and assists in any way. He knows he will be a key cog in the Old Trafford vehicular machinery if he signs on with them.

There’s also the saying that great players need people of like abilities around them to raise the bar. This certainly looks to be the case particularly with Paul Pogba at United right now, as the Frenchman looks a lot more comfortable next to Bruno Fernandes in midfield and behind a resurgent Martial and Rashford.

Sancho’s unique disposition falls into a similar mold and should, like Pogba, be emboldened by the impact of Fernandes. The Portuguese playmaker has galvanized United into a genuinely promising side that could help attract top-flight offerings like Sancho and others.

As MEN Sport has reported, United are waiting until their Champions League fate is sealed (or not, as the case may be) before finally acting on target acquisitions.

Meanwhile, Sancho himself will surely reconsider if his prospective club aren’t in next season’s European top competition, though that may not be decided for sure until the Europa League campaign is over.

But whatever the outcome, United would much rather clinch a third or fourth place finish to hopefully show Sancho and other potential targets that they are back. They need to prove that they’re now fast becoming a force to be reckoned with again, which is why Sunday’s showdown with Leicester City is vital in their equation at present for their future plans. .
