Neymar still not ruled out yet for Barca

Never say never in football.

Paris Saint-Germain laid out its demand to Barcelona for a possible deal involving Neymar. It appears a return to Camp Nou is not yet completely out of the picture for the Brazilian superstar as PSG is said to be asking Barca for its injuries-hampered forward Ousmane Dembele plus additional cash in exchange for Neymar, whom the Spanish club may need to use now to keep a furious and disenchanted Lionel Messi happy and not leave Barca, especially with the Blaugrana having lost the LaLiga title to Real Madrid.

Goal reports that PSG is demanding around $91 million with Dembele thrown into the deal from the Blaugrana for a potential exchange agreement that would bring Neymar back to Spain.

Despite having been bogged down by injuries in his run with the Catalans, Dembele’s promising repertoire is still attractive enough to make made him a target for PSG, even to the extent that the same report claims the French club “will only consider selling Neymar for a reduced fee when the transfer market reopens if they get Dembele in return.”

If it goes through, the impending deal is perceived as a win-win situation for both clubs, more so for Barcelona, which has long wanted to send Dembele packing after the French footballer failed to live up to the hype surrounding his name upon his entry at Camp Nou in 2017.

“The Catalans should not have any problems going ahead with this deal as they have looked hard enough for a way to get rid of and offload Dembele, a player they bought for a sum of €105 million from BVB supposed to be a replacement for Neymar,” reports Everything Barca.

“However, the Frenchman has failed miserably at the club; having spent most of his time injured.”

This new deal seems to be most ideal for Barca as an agreement to the terms would see the Catalans hitting multiple birds with one stone, primary among which would be giving Messi a reason to stay on, besides ridding themselves of Dembele, and finally acquiring talent in place for top target Lautaro Martinez at a relatively lower cost.

“This deal is within the limits of FC Barcelona and given their current situation, signing Lautaro Martinez seems highly impossible. They should accept what is available for now as this deal might even convince Messi to stay at the club and not to forget, restore the infamous MSN trio for maybe one last season. The arrival of Neymar at Camp Nou will severely boost the Blaugranes’ chances of lifting both the La Liga and UCL next season (as) they did back in 2015,” the report added.

The development would be an immense morale boost for Barcelona fans, especially on the heels of losing the La Liga title to Real Madrid on Thursday. With Neymar possibly running it back with Messi and Suarez, reigniting their MSN partnership in the next season, Barca supporters would have strong reasons to be optimistic that redemption is just around the corner.
