Vietnam caretaker Mai Duc Chung had a great respect for Cambodia but looking forward to a victory in the 2019 Asian Cup qualifier on 10 October.
“Recently, Cambodian football has shown remarkable improvement, so I’d say they can’t be considered as a weak team anymore. It is really difficult for us. We have to respect our opponents,” Chung said, as quoted by Dan Tri.
After a disappointing victory in the first-legged qualifying game, Chung and his side hope to restore their pride when they face Cambodia in the rematch at home turf.
Vietnam 26-man squad has been conducting the training sessions from 3 October, a week before the match with Cambodia.
