Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) general secretary Le Hoai Anh has not denied but not confirmed the speculation that former Thailand coach Kiatisuk Semanuang would take the coaching post at Vietnam national team.
“I can only confirm that the VFF is still welcoming the appication from candidates, so anyone can apply,” Le told Tien Phong Newspaper reporters with a playful tone.
After stepping down from the coaching position at Port FC following the disappointing 3-1 home defeat to Chonburi on Wednesday evening, Kiatisuk has been considered the most suitable candidate for the boss of the Golden Stars.
The 44-year-old has the enormous knowledge of Vietnam football since he had spent a long time here as both player and coach of Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC.
However, “Zico” has reportedly demanded an after-tax salary of USD 57,000 per month, which would exceed the capability of VFF.
