Port FC manager Kiatisuk resigns after three months

Kiatisak “Zico” Senamuang has decided to step down from his coaching position at Port FC following the disappointing 3-1 home defeat to Chonburi on Wednesday evening.

“Chonburi is a strong team. I must admit that what happened today was totally our fault. We could not really fight hard. We had too many mistakes,” Kiatisuk told media reporters in the post-match press conference, as quoted by Goal Thailand.

“From here, I want to step down from my post. I have been ready to take the responsibility for my work. Because we could not gain three points in this match, I am willing to resign.”

“I’m looking forward to evaluating myself for the next year, but everyone cannot wait since they are waiting for success. The expectations of the team are really high.”

Kiatisak took charge at Port after he quit as coach of the national side a few months ago.

But Port FC under “Zico” have had a poor run with one win, six defeats, and three draws in the domestic league. The Sharks were seen as title contenders before the season but now lie in eleventh.
