Guizhou Hengfeng offered bonus worth of $1.5 million per win

Struggling Guizhou Hengfeng have offered more than US$1.5 million in cash per game to inspire their players to victory.

As reported by AFP, local media said that boss Wen Wei treated the team and staff to a lavish dinner on Tuesday, 2 days after it was thrashed 1-5 at Tianjin Teda.

At the dinner, Wei proposed a lucrative victory bonus of 10 million yuan (US$1.5 million) for each of the next 2 game.

However, the 30-man team will be fined a collective 1 million, or about 33,000 yuan per person if they lose. They will earn 2 million yuan for a draw.

Guizhou is at the bottom of the Chinese Super League after losing 8 of its first 9 games, including 5 on the bounce.
