Scott Cooper has been unveiled as the new coach of BEC Tero Sasana, the club announced on Sunday.
The Irishman has coaching experiences with English clubs including the Huntsville Fire, Chester City, Leicester City, along with minnows national football teams Anguilla and Montserrat.
His professional career reached the peak after being appointed as Thai League 1 side Buriram United in 2013.
Under Cooper’s managerial reign, Buriram won 23 out of 29 matches and were unbeaten in the Thai League 1, AFC Champions League, Thai FA Cup and Thai League Cup.
After a one-year stint with Buriram, Cooper was appointed as Muangthong United’s new coach. However, he was fired after winning only 5 matches and losing 2 for the Kirins.
The 47-year-old went on to coach for Mitra Kukar in Indonesia at the end of 2014, before returning to Thailand to lead Ubon UMT United six months later.
