Bangkok United extended the contract with coach Mano Polking until 2021, the club announced in a press conference on Wednesday.
Alexandre Polking, simply known as Mano, has taken charge of Bangkok United for the fifth season in 2018 and set the record of the longest-term coach in Thai League 1.
Polking was the assistant of German manager Winfried Schäfer since 2008 at Al Ain FC and FC Baku.
In 2012, the 42-year-old followed Schäfer, who was appointed as the national head coach of Thailand, as his assistant.
In 2013, Polking was appointed by the Army United as the head coach, followed by his move to Suphanburi in the next year.
The Brazillian and German coach has become the head coach of Bangkok United in the second leg of a 2014 season, in which he helped the team reap the runners-up achievements in 2016 Thai league 1 and 2017 Thai FA Cup.
