Hanoi FC strengthen their dominance at the top of the V-League with a 4-1 home victory over their closest rivals Than Quang Ninh on the final round of V-League’s first stage.
The visitors broke the deadlock after a mistake by Hanoi goalkeeper Nguyen Van Cong. From the penalty spot, Than Quang Ninh striker Joel Vinicius converted the goal in the 9th minute.
It took almost half a game for Hanoi FC to equalize when striker Ganiyu Oseni prodded home a cheeky back-heel finish.
In the second half, Hanoi FC gave no opportunity for the rivals and extended their lead with two goals from captain Nguyen Van Quyet in the 62nd minute and striker Hoang Vu Samson five minutes later.
Samson then sealed the big win for his side with a 92nd-minute goal.
This victory marked 13 matches undefeated for Hanoi, leaving them 11 points clear off title rivals Than Quang Ninh.
