Muangthong United midfielder Charyl Chappuis has been recalled to the national team for a friendly match against China in Bangkok next month.
Chappuis missed the King’s Cup in March after a slump in form.
However, his recent excellent performance, including a brace to help Muangthong beat Chainat Hornbill 2-0 in Thai League 1 last weekend, has earned him a recall to the national team from coach Milovan Rajevac.
“I am very happy and want to say a thank for giving me a chance,” said the Thai-Swiss midfielder.
“I will do my best and will not let him (Milovan Rajevac ) down.”
Chappuis’s teammates at Muangthong, including midfielder Sarach Yooyen, forwards Siroch Chatthong and Chenrop Samphaodi are also included in the initial squad.
