Buriram United’s wonderkid sets a new record for Thai League

Buriram United’s young player Suphanat Mueanta has set a new record at Thai League.

After coming from the bench substituting Supachok Sarachat in the final minute of the Thai League 1 game against Nakhon Ratchasima FC on Wednesday, in which Buriram United earn a 2-1 victory.

At the time of the match, Suphanat was only 15 years old 8 months and 22 days. Remarkably, Suphanat came on to replace Supachok, another young striker was born in 1998.

Suphanat is one of the key players of the Thailand U-16 team. He was the captain of the Thailand U-16 at the friendly tournament Jockey Club International Youth Tournament held in Hong Kong last year. At that time, Suphanat was only 14 years old.

The latest record of the youngest player playing in Thai League 1 was Aukit Panya, a Chiang Rai player who was 15 years old on May 11, 2015.
