Thai football leagues may take a 3-week break during 2018 Asian Games, the President of Thai League 3 (T3) and Thai League 4 (T4) Korawee Pritsananantakul said.
The 2018 Asian Games (commonly known as Asiad) will take place from 18 August to 2 September in Indonesia.
Previously, the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) made an announcement that Thai league would not go on hiatus during the showpiece event in Indonesia.
At first, many Thai clubs opposed that fixation since they had to compete in the leagues without their players, who may be included in the U-23 squad for the men football competition at 2018 Asian Games.
However, the 3-week break plan will need an approval from FAT.
