Former Atletico Madrid midfielder Augusto Fernandez has no regrets following his move to Chinese Super League club Beijing Reihe.
The Argentine joins Beijing Reihe on a €4.5m transfer deal on the last day of transfer window in China.
Fernandez joined Atletico in January 2016 but a serious knee injury limited the 31-year-old to 34 appearances.
“My time at Atletico will stay with me. I gave my all, not only in those games but in training and day to day,” he told Marca.
“I leave happy because I have the respect of the fans and the people of the club.
“It is impossible to return at a club like Atleti following serious injuries and taking time over fitness, besides the economic offer was very important too of course.”
