The administration body of V-League has announced the proposal to increase the Vietnamese U-23 player quota in all of the clubs for the upcoming seasons.
According to the newest proposal introduced by Vietnam Professional Football (VPF), all the V-League clubs have to register at least a Vietnamese U-23 player in their playing eleven.
Should the proposal be passed, it would be applied in the upcoming 2018/19 season, which is scheduled to take place this March.
The initiative is aimed to develop Vietnamese football amid the success of the national U-23 team at last month’s AFC U-23 Championship in China.
