Vietnam U-23 captain Luong Xuan Truong to return to HAGL

Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) president Nguyen Tan Anh confirmed that captain Luong Xuan Truong would return to the club after a two-year loan to K-League side Incheon United FC.

Truong had played an important part in Vietnam team’s success at the AFC U-23 Championship in China. However, his career in Korea soon turned to disappointment.

The 22-year-old has been on loan to Gangwon FC from Incheon United earlier this year. Having spent 2 years in South Korea, he seems not to prove much and has not been given many opportunities to play in the South Korean top-flight league.

Until now, Truong has made 3 league appearances for Gangwon with 2 wins and a defeat.

“We will bring Xuan Truong back to HAGL, in order to make V-League more attractive,” Tan Anh confirmed to Zing.vn.

Last month, the V-League side announced not to extend Truong’s contract with Gangwon.
