Wesley Sneijder signs an 18-month deal to join Qatari club Al-Gharafa, the club announced on Friday.
Al-Gharafa announced the signing of former Real Madrid and Inter Milan midfielder with a statement on the team’s official Twitter site.
Sneijder was allowed to leave Nice after he displayed a disappointing performance with only 4 appearances in Ligue 1.
Meanwhile, Al-Gharafa hope that the 33-year-old can make an immediate impact with the team, who are currently sitting in the mid of the Qatari league table with 11 points from 11 games.
Sneijder has been the Netherlands most-capped player with 133 appearances.
During his career, he won the Champions League and Serie A with Inter Milan and won La Liga with Real Madrid.
He was also included in the squad of the Netherlands who lost to Spain in the 2010 World Cup final.
