Football Association of Thailand (FAT) president Somyot Poompunmuang has reportedly offered an amended contract to national team coach Milovan Rajevac.
“He [Rajevac] has sought an extension to the existing contract and also called for a higher salary,” he said, as quoted by the Bangkok Post.
“We have given the coach a draft of the amended contract for his comments.
On the other hand, Somyot hoped that the Serbian coach will lead the team in this next year’s AFC Asian Cup, which takes place in the UAE.
“But we want him to revise his target for the team as well. We have never won the Asian Cup or the Asian Games gold medal, so we want to know if he can deliver that,” he added.
