Muangthong United are negotiating to sign former Buriram United striker Jaja Coelho, according to reports from Thailand.
The Thai League 1 runner-ups will decide the final result before 15 January.
Last month, Muangthong United and Bangkok United have reportedly joined the race to sign Coelho.
Coelho was one of the important parts that helped Buriram to secure the title of 2017 Thai League 1. The Brazilian is the top scorer and top provider at the club with 34 goals and 12 assists in the league.
However, the club decided against extending his contract in earlier December.
