Muangthong United and Bangkok United have joined the race to sign former Buriram United forward Jaja Coelho.
FPS Management, the agent of Coelho, revealed to Four Four Two Thailand that there have been two Thai clubs who want to sign Coelho.
“We confirm that our player has been in talk with two Thai League 1 clubs,” FPS Management representative said.
“There are teams from Korea, Japan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia who have offered him a contract. But Coelho really wants to return to Thailand to prove that the number of goals he scored last season is not a coincidence.”
Coelho was one of the important parts that helped Buriram to secure the title of 2017 Thai League 1. The Brazilian is the top scorer and top provider at the club with 34 goals and 12 assists in the league.
However, the club decided against extending his contract earlier this month.
